The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the dead and injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash on eastern Utah's U.S. Highway 40.

UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said 29-year-old Uriah R. Greyeyes, of Ibapah, was driving a 2008 Dodge Dakota pickup eastbound, about 4 miles west of Roosevelt, when he began hydroplaning on the wet roadway. The rear of his vehicle slid into the westbound lane, where it was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer.

Greyeyes' vehicle then spun across the westbound lane and was hit head-on by a 2009 Ford F-150 pickup. Greyeyes, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, 66-year-old Eva D. Richens, of Duchesne, remained in critical condition Thursday after being flown to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray; the driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured.
