Two males died Friday after rear-ending a slow-moving semi-truck in Summit County.

They were driving west on Interstate 80 when they hit the semi-truck's flatbed trailer near Jeremy Ranch, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. At the time of the crash — about 4:35 p.m. — the semi was traveling slowly in front of their Volkswagen Jetta.

Both the car's driver and passenger died on impact, according to UHP. Troopers have yet to release the victims' names or ages.

The crash remains under investigation.
