A wet, occasionally thunderous weather pattern is predicted for Utah as the work week gets underway.

The National Weather Service is forecasting partly cloudy skies, isolated morning rain showers and afternoon thunderstorms for northern Utah on Tuesday, with daytime highs in the low- to mid-70s — a repeat of what was expected for Monday along the Wasatch Front.

Southern Utahns, too, expected some precipitation on both days. Afternoon thunderstorms and, under partly cloudy skies, high temperatures ranging into the mid- to upper-70s, also were on the menu.

The Utah Division of Air Quality awarded "green," or healthy air quality grades for all monitoring stations throughout the state on Tuesday, an improvement from "yellow," or compromised air quality ratings for most of the state's urban valleys on Monday.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website's index as of Monday cedar as "very high," mulberry and cottonwood at "high," and sycamore and oak at "moderate" for pollen levels.
