Utah Highway Patrol troopers suspect the driver of a semi-trailer rig fell asleep shortly before he and his load of frozen bread dough overturned on Interstate 15 in Utah County early Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred near 1200 North in Lehi, in the southbound lanes, about 4:20 a.m.

No serious injuries were reported, but UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said the accident left the big rig and a trailer full of 12,000 pounds of the icy bakery goods on their sides.

By 8:30 a.m., all lanes were open, though traffic was slowing as rubber-neckers gawked at the scene.

Royce said the trailer was being off-loaded onto another trailer and the rig being righted in preparation for towing.
