Fort Worth, Texas • Georgia Dabritz will no longer be competing for the Utes, but that doesn't mean fans or her teammates have seen the last of her.

Dabritz will work with the team next year as a manager.

"I'm basically going to be pulling mats around and things like that," she said.

Actually, the Utes have bigger plans for her.

Through her career, Dabritz has grown into one of the team's more vocal leaders. No doubt her influence will continue in that capacity next year as the Utes break in another freshmen class.

"More than anything, I've been really proud of the way Georgia has developed in that area," Utah co-coach Megan Marsden said. "Sometimes it's not an easy thing to do, but she has really embraced that role, especially when Tory Wilson went down."

Dabritz is majoring in health, society and policy with thoughts of working in hospital administration.

A special time

Utah's fifth-year senior Corrie Lothrop said she tried to enjoy these championships a little more than past ones, knowing it was her last go around.

After she tore her Achilles in 2013, she wasn't sure if she was going to ask for a fifth year or not because she worried her body might not hold up.

The success she has had this year convinced her she made the right choice.

"I'm really glad I came back," she said. "I don't know if I have another year in me, and I'll probably be happy when I'm done, but it has been a really fun year."

Lothrop finished 15th in the all-around with a 39.275 to earn second-team All-America honors. She also earned second-team regular season All-America honors on the bars and was the Pac-12 uneven bars champion, finishing second in the all-around.

Of note

Utah's two team scores were the best scores the Utes have had at the NCAA Championships. … Florida's title on Saturday was the 34th national title for the athletic program. The indoor track and field team, which won national titles in 2010, 2011 and 2012, is the only other Florida program to win three in a row.
