It's a warm, sunny Sunday for Utah — even hot, in Southern Utah — but the backcountry is still dangerous.

Salt Lake City can expect a high temperature of 70 Sunday, followed by 73 on Monday. St. George, meanwhile, can expect highs of 84 and 86, respectively.

The warming trend already broke high temperature records around the state on Saturday, including Cedar City, Duchesne and Hanksville, according to the National Weather Service.

Across the state, however, the backcountry has at least a moderate chance of slides, according to the Utah Avalanche Center.
