An April 2 arraignment has been set for a 21-year-old Ogden man charged with gunning down his girlfriend's ex-flame during an argument last weekend in her home.

Jory Arlow Fenstermaker will be arraigned before 2nd District Judge Robert Dale on a first-degree felony murder. He remained in the Davis County jail on Wednesday in lieu of $500,000 bail, accused in the death of Randy Lennell Lewis, 29, of Kansas City, Mo.

In addition to tensions from a purported love triangle, Davis County sheriff's detectives say drugs and alcohol also likely fueled the deadly early Sunday morning altercation at a home near 900 North and 3200 West.

Fenstermaker surrendered to deputies about noon Sunday during a traffic stop in Farmington, about six hours after he allegedly shot his girlfriend's ex-flame in the torso.

Lewis, who died shortly after being rushed to the hospital, reportedly was the father of Fenstermaker's girlfriend's two children. He was visiting the woman and children from out of state.

Sheriff's Sgt. DeeAnn Servey said deputies responded to a 911 report of gunfire just after midnight Saturday. Fenstermaker had fled the scene before they arrived.

The children, who were sleeping in the house at the time of the shooting, were unharmed.

Fenstermaker was located in his car in Farmington and arrested without incident.
