It's two weeks until the start of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, but the distribution dealing has already started.

Craig Zobel's post-apocalpytic thriller "Z for Zachariah," one of the biggest buzz-generating titles in the U.S. Dramatic competition, has secured distribution by a partnership between Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, the industry news site The Wrap reported this week.

The Wrap reports that Lionsgate has been involved in the film for some time, but only now decided to announce its distribution plans.

The movie — based on the novel by the 1973 novel by Robert C. O'Brien (who also wrote the book that was the basis for "The Secret of NIMH") — stars Margot Robbie ("The Wolf of Wall Street") as the last woman on Earth, or so she believes after a global disaster wipes out most of civilization. She meets two men, played by Chris Pine and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who compete for her affections.

Zobel has been at Sundance before, with "Great Wall of Sound" in 2007 and "Compliance" in 2012.
