Ogden • Richard Gittens scored 21 points, 15 on 3-pointers, and Weber took control in the second half to post a 73-61 win over Utah Valley on Saturday.

Gittens shot 50 percent from the field (6 of 12), but was deadly from long range, dropping in 5 of 8 from distance, and from the free throw line (4 for 4). Jeremy Senglin added 16 points and eight assists and Joel Bolomboy and Chris Golden each added 11.

Weber (4-5) started the game on a 12-0 run, capped by Senglin's 3-pointer, but UVU clawed back to trail by three at intermission. The Wolverines took the lead, 34-31, to start the second half, but Weber took control with a 9-0 run to make it 50-40 with 12:05 left.

Mitch Bruneel scored 21 points, hitting 9 of 11 from the line, to lead UVU (3-7).

Dixie State 95, Holy Names 60 • The Red Storm exacted a 35-point walloping on the Hawks in Pac West Conference play at Dixie on Saturday. Junior forward Mark Ogden Jr. exploded with 18 points in 16 minutes, while freshman forward Zac Hunter delivered a career-high 15 to drive Dixie's men (6-4, 3-1 PacWest) far beyond HNU (2-10, 0-4 PacWest).

Westminster 110 , Concordia-Alberta 65 • Eight Griffins scored in double figures in the victory to lift the Griffins over Concordia on Saturday. William Walker made 19 points for the second straight night to lead the team. The Grffins (5-6) closed with back-to-back wins over Concordia, now having won three straight.

Griffin women wrap with Vanguard win

Las Vegas • The No. 4 Westminster women's basketball team finished the Frontier Conference Las Vegas Shootout with a 58-55 win over No. 3 Vanguard (Calif.) on Saturday night. Amanda Hacking led the Griffins with a career-high 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting. The junior also pulled in 11 rebounds – five offensive – for her third double-double of the season. Hacking made eight of her nine free throw attempts and had two assists and one blocked shot.

Dixie State 82, Holy Names 67 • Taylor Mann led the Red Storm women with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Taylor Maynes also made a double-double, making 10 points and 10 boards on Saturday. Twelve Dixie women added to the Red Storm's victory (4-6, 3-1 PacWest) over the Hawks (2-10, 1-3 PacWest.)
