Utah is well represented on another list about the outdoors, though maybe this list won't thrill the convention and visitors bureau.

Two Utah trails have made Outside magazine's list of The 20 Most Dangerous Hikes in the world. They are the Maze in Canyonlands National Park and Angels Landing in Zion National Park.

Of the Maze, Outside says:

"The red rock labyrinth known as the Maze is difficult to reach, almost impossible to navigate, and full of dead-end gullies. It always presents the danger of rockfalls (think James Franco in 127 Hours) or deadly flash floods."

As for Angels Landing:

"Here's where things get dangerous. The National Park Service states that at least five people have fallen to their deaths on Angel's Landing, adding that it's an incomplete list."

Maybe the big surprise is the Utah and Arizona hike that was omitted from the list: The Wave. Three people died there in one month in 2013. That's more than have died at the Maze and Angels Landing in recent years combined.
