Something mysterious will open at The Gateway shopping center next month.

Mystery Escape Room is an interactive entertainment venue, in which groups of friends are put into a room and must solve a series of mysteries to get out — using their wits and teamwork, but no electronics.

According to a press release from RPAI, the company that runs The Gateway's shopping center, the venue will offer two theme rooms: Moriarty's Parlor, inspired by Sherlock Holmes, and The Ghosts of Christmas, based on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."

Mystery Escape Room will locate at 157 S. Rio Grande, in the space formerly occupied by J. Brooks Jewelers. It is slated to open sometime in mid-November.
