Food briefs: Re-create the first Thanksgiving

"First Feast," a re-creation of the first Thanksgiving dinner, is Nov. 21, 22 and 24 at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes a historical 1621 menu, including roasted turkey, smoked salmon, oysters, corn pudding, stewed pumpkin, "cheate" bread, apple cider and warm goat's milk. A re-enactment of the historic events between the pilgrims and the American Indians is planned along with children's activities. Cost is $32 for adults, and $20 for children ages 3?12. Utah Chocolate Show

Tickets are available for the 5th annual Utah Chocolate Show, Nov. 21 and 22 at the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 S. State St., Sandy. Chocolate displays, contests, demonstrations and specialty classes are planned each day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $7. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at Baker's C & C in Salt Lake City, FunFinity stores in Springville and Orem, or online at UtahChocolateShow.com

Web grocery contest

For 13 weeks, Associated Food Store customers have been able to log on to the Web site, mywesternfamily.com, print coupons for free Western Family products and watch sitcom-style "webisodes." Now shoppers are invited to submit their own endings to the season. Those who submit a video will receive a $50 gift card and have a chance to win $1,000.
