Dining notes: Pub gets new chef, menu

Michael Jewell, a graduate of the California Culinary Academy, is the new chef at Wasatch Brew Pub, 250 S. Main, Park City. Jewell worked at The Tavern at Lark Creek, in Larkspur, Calif., before arriving at Wasatch in December. He recently introduced a new menu that includes steaks, burgers, tacos and pizzas. Celebrate Chinese New Year

The Mandarin, 348 E. 900 North, Bountiful, will celebrate Chinese New Year Feb. 15-27 with a special meal for parties of four or more. It is available for $20 a person and includes black bean shrimp, honey walnut chicken, Mongolian pork noodles and more. A traditional Lion Dance will be performed at 6 p.m. on Feb. 17 and 22. Wine dinner at Wild Grape

Utah native Juelle Fisher, a University of Utah graduate and the co-owner of California's Fisher Vineyards, will host a three-course wine dinner on Feb. 10 at Wild Grape Bistro, 481 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $40 per person. Optional wine pairings are an additional $35. For reservations, call 801-746-5565.
