So you just finished on the hill, and you're starving. You don't want to shower. You don't want to change. Forget reservations.

You want to eat .

Maybe give El Chanate a try.

Tucked down on the lower level of The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird, the Mexican cantina lacks the fanciness of many other resort restaurants, but offers loads of hearty apres-ski fare at moderate prices, in a nicer setting than your standard lodge cafeteria. The Chicken Venganza -- fajitas, basically -- came with a well-deserved recommendation, and the menu also boasts massive burritos and frequent specials, along with a full bar.

Best of all?

You don't even have to shed your snow pants.
