$15; $20 » The couple at the next table couldn't help but stare. Our 16-inch pie at Nuch's Pizzeria & Restaurant was thin, crusty and layered with oozing cheese and grassy asparagus. Sweet and earthy roasted garlic wafted up from the flat thing while Yukon golds pureed to a texture as soft and yielding as warm ricotta blended perfectly with the cheese. Boutonnieres of bacon brought it all together. The addition of the house-made crust is simply a convenient way to bring it all to your mouth.

Nuch's is at 2819 S. 2300 East, Salt Lake City; 801-484-0448. Hours are T-W, 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Th-S, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Su, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
