$9 » Lucky 13, a week-old bar near Spring Mobile Ballpark, looks like other bars -- mounted wild boar heads, pool tables and plasma TVs. But some things set it apart: a gorgeous wooden-trimmed bar and a menu whose emphasis is on burgers -- upscale burgers -- all under $10. The kitchen uses local Stoneground buns, never-frozen ground chuck, and mixed greens for every burger. Other toppings are up to you.

The Celestial burger comes with smoked bacon, grilled onions, cheddar cheese and chipotle barbecue sauce. Wash it down with one of 30 beers. It is a bar, after all.
