$6.79 » Pairing meat with meat is more or less a genius idea. You've got your bacon burger and pastrami burger. Cottonwood Heights Café adds another delicious pairing to the patty pantheon: the gyro burger. It's as simple as it sounds, yet when you first bite into one, you wonder why someone didn't think of this sooner. The succulent and well-seasoned gyro meat goes on top of a decent burger patty. The meat combo sits within a toasted sesame bun along with roughly chopped iceberg, pickles and -- genius -- white gyro sauce.

Cottonwood Heights Café is at 2577 Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights; 801-947-0760. Open daily, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
