$15.99 » Now you can have all the flavors of French onion soup without potentially burning your tongue.

This ingenious -- and popular -- sandwich from Red Rock Brewing Co. combines sourdough bread, strips of medium-rare New York steak, tendrils of caramelized onions and gooey melted Gruyère and mozzarella cheeses. Au jus for dipping and steak fries come alongside. The price is a bit steep but it's well worth it.

Red Rock Brewing Co. is at 254 S. 200 West, Salt Lake City; 801-521-7446. Open Sunday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to midnight.
