Dish of the week: O'Falafel's Armenian pizza

$3.95 » This savory flatbread is the sort of dish which every family kitchen from the Eastern Mediterranean to the mountains of Afghanistan has a version. At O'Falafel, it's ground beef combined with onions, green peppers and a touch of tomato sauce. The topping is then judiciously applied to O'Falafel's signature, house-made pita. When done properly, the result is an intriguingly scented, thin and crunchy-chewy pizza, of sorts.

O'Falafel is at 790 E. 2100 South, Salt Lake City; 801-487-7747. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
