Bumann was trained as a wildlife biologist and specializes in leading wildlife ecology classes, guided backpacking trips and safari outings on the flora and fauna of Yellowstone. In the first class, at 2 p.m., he will use slides, videos and possibly live models to help students learning to draw the animal form.
It is for anyone 12 and older and is $27 for members, $30 for others. The second class is at 6:30 p.m., also for 12 and older, and will focus on vocalizations, body language and coded messages of various species in Yellowstone. Cost is $8 for members, $10 for others.

A grand idea
Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is offering a class for kids and their grandparents beginning June 10 and continuing for the next two Tuesdays. Wildlife artist Michael Calles will take the intergenerational group through the beginning steps of wildlife drawing and painting. The free class is suitable for children 10 and older.
