Clearfield City

Redwood Recreation Center

Center

RUNNING

1-800 Contacts is holding a 5K/10K challenge June 21. The 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. near 1300 S. Wasatch Drive, with the 10K beginning at 8 a.m. in Research Park by the University of Utah. Both races will finish at Sugar House Park. The 5K costs $20 to $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the race, and the 10K costs $25 to $30 in advance and $35 the day of. SOFTBALL

Redwood Recreation Center

Registering for girls accelerated softball for divisions 10U, 12U and 14U. Teams will play two games a week, and the registration fee is $375. Contact Amelia at 801-974-6923 for more information. The Stars 16U accelerated softball team is looking for players for the summer league to continue into fall. Tryouts will be held at the end of May. All positions are needed. Contact Joe at 801-897-5626 for more information.

Spartan Track Club

The Murray Spartan Youth Track Club will begin workouts at the Murray High track Tuesday and will continue to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Ages 8 to 18 will receive instruction on running skills and field events.
