Wildlife photographer Rosalie Winard will be at the Bear River Refuge near Brigham City on May 15 for a presentation on her many trips to the refuge. She will share her favorite sightings and pictures from the area starting at 7 p.m. in the visitor center auditorium.
After the presentation there will be a reception where she will sign copies of her recently released book, Wild Birds of the American Wetlands (Welcome Books, $39.95).
The book includes an essay by Utah author Terry Tempest Williams and prominently features birds of the Great Salt Lake marshes.
Copies of the book can be reserved through the Avocet Corner bookstore at the visitor center by calling 435-734-6423. The refuge education center is at 2155 W. Forest St. and is most easily accessed by taking exit No. 363 on Interstate 15 and heading west for one block to the entrance.
