West Valley City Parks and Recreation has announced the schedule for the "Walking Tour 2008: Know the Trails" program. West Valley City officials started the program to promote health and fitness and to help provide a venue to show off the city's trails and parks.

Each event will begin with a brief instructional presentation and will be hosted by a walk leader, who will provide trail information.

There is no fee to participate in Walking Tour events, but "fun walks" scheduled throughout the year will require an entry fee. A Walking Tour 2008 T-shirt will also be available for $10.

Call 801-955-4000 for more information.
