CD/DVD » Björk is the most successful avant-garde musician in the English-speaking world, and her CD/DVD collection, "Voltaic," is a live set that documents the high-pitched, note-stretching soprano's "Volta" tour in France and her native Iceland. She recorded the CD in one take in London with her new band, and the DVD shows the Cirque du Soleil-inspired show's flights of awe-inspiring visual fancy. New arrangements of older material as "Pagan Poetry," "All Is Full Of Love" and a ferocious version of "Army Of Me" show why the computer-savvy Björk shouldn't be feared, but considered one of the most melodic and passionate songwriters around -- separating her from Radiohead, who are becoming more and more tuneless. Simply spectacular.
