The Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable is sponsoring "Many Faiths -- One Family: Building a World of Harmony," a weeklong series of events that begins next week.

A Feb. 13 workshop at the Episcopal Diocese of Utah kicks off the celebration. Other events range from an Ash Wednesday service on Feb. 17 at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral to a Feb. 20 Hindu "Wedding of the Gods" at Sri Ganesha Temple to a Feb. 21 musical tribute at the Mormon Tabernacle on Temple Square.

The roundtable, which includes representatives of a number of religious faiths, had its genesis in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The group's goal is to increase understanding.
