The LDS Church is staging its holiday performance, "Savior of the World." The musical features scriptural accounts of the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Children 8 and older are invited. Advent service, tea
Church Women United invite you to its Advent Service and Tea on Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, 231 E. 100 South, Salt Lake City. The Rev. Diana Johnson will lead the service. Bring canned good for donations.
Christmas trees
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and School offers Fir Christmas trees 5 to 7 feet tall for $35. The tree lot is open Dec. 5-6 and 12-13 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and December 7-11 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Christmas boutique
St. Ambrose Church will host over 40 booths at its annual Christmas Boutique on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be hot food available all day Saturday and breakfast treats Sunday. This year the Carmelite Sisters will have a booth featuring handmade religious items. Admission is free. For more information, call 801-485-9324.
Christmas concert
Timberline Middle School will hold "An Alpine Christmas" concert Dec. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. at the school, 500 W. Canyon Crest Road, Alpine. The Timberline Troubadour and Chamber Choir will perform with other musicians and singers. Proceeds will benefit the school's fine arts departments. Tickets are $10 at the door.
Latino program
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announces that this year's Latino Christmas program will be a Spanish version of "Savior of the World." Three performances of "El Salvador del mundo" will be held Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 5 at 2 and 7 p.m., in the Bountiful Regional Center, 850 N. 400 East, North Salt Lake. There also will be two performances Dec. 19 at 2 and 7 p.m. at Timpview High, 3570 Timpview Drive, Provo. The event is free, but tickets are required for the evening productions. A free interfaith Christmas concert will be held Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Skyline High, 3251 E, 3760 South, featuring Christ United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, Wesley Bell Ringers, Mount Olympus Presbyterian Church Celebration Singers, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Music Ministries, Prophet Elias and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Combined Choirs and The LDS East Millcreek Choir.
