Church services celebrate Thanksgiving

Wasatch Front churches will celebrate Thanksgiving with special services. Services planned include:

Nov. 23

» The Holladay Interfaith service will be at 5 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Holladay. The St. Vincent de Paul School bell ringers will perform under the direction of Scott Larrabee. Soloist Robert Benda also will perform. The service will feature the Rev. France Davis of Calvary Baptist Church. A reception will follow in Holy Family Hall.

» Unity of Salt Lake will install the Rev. Eva Gabrielle as a new minister during a service and dinner at the DAV building, 273 E. 800 South, Salt Lake City. The service begins at 11:30 a.m. with dinner to follow. Unity of Salt Lake offers an invitation to people from all walks of life to explore and celebrate oneness, harmony and acceptance of differences.

» Orem and Provo Community Congregational Churches will hold a joint service Nov. 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Orem Community Church, 130 N. 400 West, Orem. The Rev. Daniel Haas will preach on "Reigning Compassion." For more information, call 801-368-1180.

Nov. 26

» First Apostolic Church will hold a candlelight service Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the church, 1680 W. Stratford Ave., West Valley City. Pastor William Fitzgerel and his wife LeeAnna will host the service, with refreshments to follow. Please bring a candle and a candle holder. For more information, call 801-973-7070.

Nov. 27

» First Christian Reformed Church will hold a service Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. at the church, 805 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City. For more information, call 801-359-4243.
