Real Salt Lake could clinch a spot in the MLS playoffs with a win over Sporting Kansas City on Sunday (3 p.m., KMYU) — and a win might help the team avoid playing the one-game-only first-round match on the road. Maybe.

I'm not a soccer expert by any means, but it would probably help if RSL could score a couple goals. (The team has scored only one in its last four matches.)

And it would great if RSL could end its five-game winless streak (0-2-3) and do something other than limp weakly into the postseason.

Sigh.
