Former president Bill Clinton — who may end up being the first "first gentleman" in U.S. History — is scheduled to speak at the Democratic National Convention.

He'll be joined by several mothers who have lost children to gun violence.

CNN, C-SPAN Fox New Channel and MSNBC have coverage pretty much all day long; PBS/Ch. 7 has scheduled three hours from 6-9 p.m.; CBS/Ch. 2, ABC/Ch. 4 and NBC/Ch. 5 each have scheduled an hour from 8-9 p.m.

Also tonight, The CW reboots "MADtv" (8 p.m., Ch. 30), which ran as a late-night show — sort of an alternative to "Saturday Night Live" — from 1995-2009.

It's ready for prime-time now (at least on The CW) and features eight new cast members: Carlie Craig, Chelsea Davison, Jeremy D. Howard, Amir K, Lyric Lewis, Piotr Michael, Michelle Ortiz and Adam Ray.

Elsewhere on TV …
