We have household numbers from the just-completed May sweeps, and KUTV-Ch. 2 remains No. 1 at 10 p.m.

Remember, these are just household numbers. Not demographics. And demographics are what matters; demographics are what stations use to sell advertising. Keep that in mind.

Here's how the local stations stacked up in the Monday-Friday late-news competition during the May 2016 sweeps:

1. KUTV-Ch. 2 • 7.9 rating

2. KSL-Ch. 5 • 6.7 rating

3. KSTU-Ch. 13 • 4.5 rating

4. KTVX-Ch. 4 • 2.5 rating

(The numbers are for the 9 p.m. newscast on Ch. 13 and the 10 p.m. newscasts on Channels 2, 4 and 5.)

Compared to May 2015, KUTV and KSL are both up; KSTU and KTVX are both down.
