Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch (played by Dylan Baker) is a minor presence in "Confirmation" (9 p.m., HBO), a TV movies that recounts the battle over the nomination of Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court in 1991.

That was complicated when law professor Anita Hill (Kerry Washington, "Scandal") alleged that Thomas had sexually harassed her.

It's an interesting movie that doesn't explicitly call Thomas a liar, but does come down on the side of Hill. And Hatch comes off badly — but then so does pretty much everybody else in the TV movie, with the exception of Hill.

• Season 2 of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" begins streaming on Netflix on Friday. If you haven't seen Season 1, it's a hoot. And Season 2 is great.

This show — which was originally supposed to air on NBC — is better than any comedy on that network. By far. And better than most other TV comedies. Period.

• Also this weekend on HBO, it's the end of "Girls" (Sunday, 11 and 11:30 p.m.) — which means something, no doubt, to the show's small audience.

(No, it's never been a hit. It's drawing slightly more than half a million viewers per episode. That it's still on the air is surprising.)

If you care — and I'll readily admit I don't — as "Girls" goes out, Hannah runs into Tally after delivering surprising news to Principal Toby; and Hannah preps for a story slam with help from Elijah and her mother.
