When "The Flash" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30) premiered last fall, I gave the show's pilot a great review. I loved it.

I was, however, somewhat concerned about whether the series could live up to that pilot. It was an origin story, and origin stories seem the easiest comic-book stories to tell.

Just go to the movies to confirm that.

But I need not have worried. "The Flash" has had a great first season. I've enjoyed all 22 episodes that have aired to date.

And I can't wait to see the first-season finale tonight, when Wells presents Barry with a life-changing choice.

The best news is that "The Flash" will be back in the fall for Season 2.
