Sundance Institute announces its free summer outdoor film festival. First up: the Coen Brothers' classic "Raising Arizona" starring Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter, screening at 9 p.m. at City Park in Park City.

SLC Jazz Festival

The swanky and smooth jazz festival takes place on Washington Square, 451 S. State St., Salt Lake City. On the bill are the John Flanders Quartet, The Latin All Stars, Salt Lake City Jazz Orchestra, Ellis Hall and The Truth featuring Mindi Abair and many more. Former Neo-Nazi

Local authors T.J. Leyden and M. Bridget Cook will read and sign copies of their new book, "Skinhead Confessions," from noon to 4 p.m. at Barnes and Noble, 1780 N. Woodland Park Drive, Layton. Leyden will also speak briefly on his 15-year association with the Skinhead Neo-Nazi movement and how he came to leave the group and speak out against hate. For information, call 801-773-9973.
