It will be a trip down memory lane when Disney On Ice returns to Salt Lake City on Wednesday for it's "100 Years of Magic" program featuring characters from such films as "Toy Story" "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast," "Mulan," "The Incredibles," "Finding Nemo" and more. Mickey and Minnie will serve as the show's hosts.

Scott Irvine of Bountiful, who has performed as John Smith, Prince Charming and Prince Eric, is one of the show's principal skaters. In this show, he plays Shan Yu, the villain from "Mulan."

"I think the whole show is great; the finale is my favorite," Irvine said. "The audience gets on their feet, they come to the side of the ice and get to shake hands with their favorite characters. That's the high point of the show. You see so many smiling kids' faces, and you come away thinking 'I've done a good day's work.' It's been one of the best experiences of my life."

The show contains plenty of exciting flips, jumps, and costumes, and kids can sing along on such classic Disney songs as "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" from "The Lion King," and "It's a Small World After All."

"Disney On Ice" has partnered with Discovery Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City on a week of specialized Disney-themed programming during the show's run. Today at noon, Mickey and Minnie will visit the museum for a special tour. On Nov. 13-16, there will be a creative storytelling session featuring Disney characters and animation in "The Curiosity Shop." The first 500 museum visitors today receive a free bookmark promoting storytelling and literacy. Discovery Gateway members receive a $4 discount off select Disney performances.
