ABC is premiering the 10-part drama "Somewhere Between" tonight at 10 (Ch. 4), and I can tell you that it's based on a Korean format.

I can't tell you if it's any good, because ABC did not provide critics with any episodes to review.

And I can also tell you that, far more often than not, it is a bad sign when a network doesn't screen a show for critics. It's the equivalent of a studio not screening some cheesy horror flick they know film critics will hate.

Anyway … here's ABC's description of the show:

• "'Somewhere Between,' a suspenseful thriller, stars Paula Patton ('Warcraft') as Laura Price, a local news producer in San Francisco helping the police to hunt down a serial killer.

"After the killer strikes close to home, a twist of fate allows a 'Groundhog Day'-type reset, and Laura relives the week prior to the string of murders. Unlike 'Groundhog Day,' she only has one chance. Can she change fate and stop the killer?

"As she unravels the mysterious connection between herself and the killer, she realizes that fate is written in stone and that changing events will require an ultimate sacrifice."
