The broadcast networks will announce their fall schedules next week, which means, of course, that programmers are in the process of deciding which current shows will be renewed and which will not.

Some of those decisions have already been made. Shows have been picked up. Shows have been canceled. And it's pretty clear that some will be back and some are about to get the ax.

It's the shows in the middle — the shows on the bubble — that lend additional intrigue to the upfronts. Along with the announcements about new shows, of course.

Here's where we stand a week out from the upfronts. The renewed and canceled shows are certain; the others are best guesses at this point.

(By the way, NBC will make its 2017-18 announcement on May 14, Fox on May 15, ABC on May 16, CBS on May 17 and The CW on May 18.)

ABC has renewed "Grey's Anatomy," "How to Get Away With Murder," "Match Game," "The Middle" and "Scandal."

CBS has renewed "Big Bang Theory" (through 2018-19), "Blue Bloods," "Bull," "Criminal Minds," "Hawaii Five-0," "Kevin Can Wait," "Life in Pieces," "MacGyver," "Madam Secretary," "Man with a Plan," "Mom," "NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "NCIS: New Orleans," "Scorpion," "Superior Donuts" and "Survivor."
