The Utah Symphony's Beethoven piano-concerto cycle has brought in heavy hitters — Jonathan Biss, Jeffrey Kahane and Emanuel Ax — but the final installment might top them all. Yefim Bronfman will perform the third and fourth concertos on the same program.

In the middle of this Beethoven sandwich: Alban Berg's Three Pieces for Orchestra, which Utah Symphony artistic-planning VP Toby Tolokan called "probably [Berg's] most impressive piece that isn't an opera."
