Food Network star Alton Brown returns to Salt Lake City for two shows on Friday, bringing his quirky humor and culinary-science antics to Abravanel Hall.

Tickets for both presentations of "Alton Brown Live! Eat Your Science" are still available.

Brown — who brought his "Edible Inevitable" tour to Utah two years ago — promises new therapy-inducing opportunities during his audience participation segments. Fans can also expect new songs, comedy, talk-show antics, multimedia and music.

Best known as the host of the smart, entertaining "Good Eats," which ran for 13 seasons, Brown also is the resident food historian, scientist and commentator on "Iron Chef America," and hosts the reality series "Next Iron Chef" and the game show "Cutthroat Kitchen." He also is the author of seven cookbooks.
