The Gateway mall in downtown Salt Lake City is expanding its Food Trucks at the Fountain program to five days a week beginning Monday.

A rotating number of food trucks will be near the Olympic Fountain on Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program was operating three days a week this winter.

In addition to the food trucks, The Gateway has opened a break room north of the fountain, giving visitors a place to enjoy their street food indoors. Along with tables and chairs, The Break Room has arcade games, TV and music.

The food trucks also are a lunchtime necessity for many workers in nearby office buildings — including The Salt Lake Tribune — as the Gateway's food court is closed as part of a major remodel.
