Cirque du Soleil offered a behind-the-scenes look Wednesday at its production of "Ovo," an extravagant exploration of the life of bugs — with colorful costumes and daring acrobatics — that is opening for a five-day run through Sunday at the Maverik Center in West Valley City.

Some may recognize one of the scarabs in the Russian Cradle Act — Nansy Damianova, a star member of the University of Utah women's gymnastics team who graduated in 2015.

When • Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 22-24, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 25, 4 and 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 26, 1:30 and 5 p.m.
