Christmas and holiday dances from around the world and plenty of Nutcrackers, classic and reimagined are coming to Utah stages. Here's a look at some of the performances in December.
The Nutcracker Ballet

The ReduxNut-Cracker

Imagine Ballet Theatre

Ballet West will present its annual favorite, "The Nutcracker."

Sugar Plum Party
Join the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier, Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and more for an on-stage party immediately following most matinee performances of Ballet West's "The Nutcracker." Tickets include a nutcracker ornament, cookies and punch, and a picture with the Sugar Plum Fairy and fellow cast members.

It's Not Cracker
NOW-ID's contemporary, abbreviated rendition of "The Nutcracker," evokes the original in familiarity and seasonality, but states it will be different contemporary and unique, fun, diverse and serious. The 20-minute Tchaikovsky suite will be extended, mixed and added to by DJ Artemis and others, and paired with dancers Brad Beakes, Tara McArthur and corps players from the B-Boy Federation, all choreographed by Charlotte Boye-Christensen.

Nutcracker classical ballet
Academy of Ballet Arts and South Valley Ballet Theater will present their annual full-length classical ballet "The Nutcracker." The performance will raise funds for Camp Hobe, a summer camp for children with cancer.

Cirque Holidaze
This circus-like holiday stage spectacular features ornaments, costumes and acrobatics that come alive celebrating holiday themes, music and traditions.

River of Rosewater
Municipal Ballet Company will present "River of Rosewater," a reimagined version of "The Nutcracker," with Tchaikovsky's score arranged and played live by local band Pixie and the Partygrass Boys and saxophonist Marco Blackmore. The 8 p.m. performance is a fundraiser that will include valet parking, small bites from local restaurants, drinks and a silent auction.
