On Sunday, the new Eccles Theater hosted a special live broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's long-standing program "Music and the Spoken Word."

It was the first time in the program's 88-year history that it originated from a Salt Lake venue other than the Salt Lake Tabernacle or LDS Conference Center.
