In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, KUED-Channel 7 will repeat "National Park Symphony — The Mighty Five" on Wednesday at 7 and 8:30 p.m.

The 90-minute special features stunning film footage of Utah's "Mighty Five" national parks — Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Zion — set to music performed by the Utah Symphony.

Produced and directed by KUED's award-winning Carol Dalrymple and photographed by Gary Turnier, Nick Vincent and Jon Howe, the program features amazing views of the parks shot over four seasons. The Utah Symphony, under the direction of Thierry Fischer, performs selections by Ravel, Beethoven, Debussy, Dvorák and Rachmaninoff.

DVDs of "National Park Symphony" are available only to KUED donors.

• KUED is also continuing to repeat the short films "America's 58 National Parks." This week, installments air Monday at 9:54 a.m. ("Haleakala," 4 minutes); Tuesday at 9:44 a.m. ("Hawaiian Volcanoes," 8 minutes) and 9:52 a.m. ("Mount Rainer," 6 minutes); Wednesday at 9:44 a.m. ("Great Sand Dunes," 5 minutes) and 9:50 a.m. ("Great Smoky Mountains," 8 minutes); Thursday at 9:43 a.m. ("North Cascades, Wash.," 2 minutes), 9:46 a.m. ("Rocky Mountains, Colo.," 4 minutes) and 9:51 a.m. ("Glacier, Mont.," 7 minutes); and Friday at 9:43 a.m. ("Guadalupe Mountains, Texas," 4 minutes) and 9:48 a.m. ("Grand Teton, Wyo.," 6 minutes).

• The National Geographic Channel series "America's National Parks" continues on Tuesday and Wednesday with two new installments: "Grand Canyon" and "Great Smoky Mountains."

The previous six installments — "Olympic," "Yosemite," "Everglades," "Gates of the Arctic," "Yellowstone" and "Saguaro" — can be streamed at channel.nationalgeographic.com, if you can sign in through your cable or satellite provider.

• Ken Burns' Emmy-winning, six-part, 12-hour, 2009 documentary series, "National Parks: America's Best Idea," is available on DVD. Selected clips are available at pbs.org.

• "The Grand Rescue," a 2014 film by independent filmmaker Jenny Wilson, airs Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 7 p.m. on KUED-Ch. 7. It's the story of how, in 1967, seven rescuers risked their lives to save a save a severely injured climber on the North Face of the Grand Teton.

• The Jackson Hole Story," a 2004 documentary by KUED's Joe Prokop, airs Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 8:30 p.m. It recounts that decadeslong battle that followed the 1929 establishment of Grand Teton National Park — a fight over how much land should be protected that shaped Jackson Hole.

• "America Wild: National Parks Adventure 3D," a 45-minute travelogue that features Arches, Glacier, Yellowstone and Yosemite. It debuted earlier this year and is narrated by Robert Redford. "America Wild" continues its run at the Clark Planetarium, with showings at noon, 2 and 5 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults, teens and seniors and $7 for children 12 and younger. Tickets are $7 for all for showings before 5 p.m.
