Cottonwood Heights hosts the inaugural "Bites in the Heights," an 11-day dining event that includes specials at nine area restaurants.

During the promotion, which runs Aug. 20-31, restaurants offer $5 and $10 lunch specials; and $10, $15 and $20 dinner specials.

Diners are encouraged to share photos on Twitter and Instagram, using the hashtag #CHFoodie to win gift cards. Those who visit all nine restaurants can take receipts to Cottonwood Heights City Hall, 1265 E Fort Union Blvd. #250, to be entered in a drawing. Receipts also can be emailed to pkinder@ch.utah.gov.
