Experience foods from around the world during the Wasatch International Food Festival, in West Valley City.

The two-day event celebrates Utah's global food landscape and will include dishes from Cuba, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam and more. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available.

The event also will include chef demonstrations, live music, a specialty foods market, children's activities, a beer garden and a community mural project. Proceeds will help pay for programs at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center.

When • Friday, Aug. 19, 5 to 10 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 20, noon to 10 p.m.

Where • Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South, West Valley City.

Cost • $5; two-day pass, $8; children under 12 are free; food is additional. VIP tickets are $25 and include access to private lounge adjacent to the stage with food, a metal souvenir mug and one drink ticket.
