Ten-year-old Daniela Bergantz of Stansbury Park is headed to Washington, D.C., next week to have lunch with Michelle Obama and the 55 other winners of The Healthy Lunchtime Challenge.

Bergantz was selected to represent Utah after entering her recipe for American Flag Ravioli in Creamy Garden Sauce in the national competition, sponsored by the first lady's Let's Move! initiative.

The winners, ages 8-12 and representing all 50 states and territories, will attend a "kid's state dinner" at the White House on Thursday, July 14, where the menu will feature some of the winning recipes. The meal will be followed by a tour of the White House kitchen garden.

The Healthy Lunchtime Challenge, now in its fifth year, received more than 1,200 entries in 2016. The full list of winners and recipes can be found at pbs.org/lunchtimechallenge. A free downloadable and printable e-cookbook of the winning recipes, including nutritional analyses and photos, will be available July 14 at LetsMove.gov.
