As far as I'm concerned, "Game of Thrones" is the best show on TV. And "Crazy-Ex Girlfriend" deserves all the help it can get from critics.

That's why I voted for both every chance I had in balloting for the Television Critics Association Awards, which — I maintain — are more legit than the Emmys because TV critics watch TV; Emmy voters often do not.

Unfortunately, I don't think "Thrones" will win this year. Because (a) it has won before (best new show in 2011; program of the year in 2012; best drama in 2013) — and TV critics, as a group, get bored and want to move on to newer shows. Also because this year's best episodes didn't air until after the final TCA Awards voting.

And, while it's popular among critics, not everyone is as enthralled with "Crazy" as I am.

But I don't care.

We'll find out who the winners are Aug. 6, but here are most of the nominees and whom I voted for:
