Children from local charities donned ice skates and were treated like royalty Thursday to help kick off Disney on Ice's "Dare to Dream" show playing in Salt Lake City through Sunday.

The children and their parents were invited to skate with performers from Disney on Ice during the pre-show event at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.

Rapunzel, Tiana, Snow White and Cinderella star in "Dare to Dream," a princess-packed adventure that includes memorable moments from "Tangled," "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," "Cinderella" and "The Princess and the Frog."

When • Thursday and Friday, 7 p.m.; Saturday, 11:30 a.m., 3:30 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 and 4:30 p.m.

Where • Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City

Tickets • $10 for children; $15-$60 for adults, with VIP and front-row options; AXS.com, venue box office or 888-9AXS-TIX
