Utah-born dancer/actor Derek Hough is out of Radio City Music Hall's "New York Spring Spectacular" because of an injury — and his replacement also has Utah roots.

Filling in for Hough in the role of Jack is Taylor Frey, who grew up on Bountiful, graduated from Viewmont High School, and is a former BYU Young Ambassador.

According to IMDb, On TV, Frey has appeared in episodes of "Gossip Girl" and "The Carrie Diaries," and a stint on the daytime soap "Days of Our Lives." He also co-starred in the 2013 gay-themed teen comedy "G.B.F."

Frey's brothers are better known in Utah for their athletic prowess. Travis Frey plays wide receiver for BYU's football team (though he missed last season due to injury), and Konner Frey is a forward on Utah State's basketball team.

"New York Spring Spectacular," starring Laura Benanti and featuring The Rockettes, is running through May 7.
