The Utah Association of Secondary School Principals honored three school leaders on Wednesday.
The association named Davis High School Principal Rulon Homer as Utah High School Principal of the Year. Joanne Ackerman, principal of West Jordan Middle School, was named Utah's Middle School Principal of the Year, and Sharon Jensen, assistant principal at Valley High School in Sandy, is Utah's Assistant Principal of the Year.
All three will be entered in the 2010 National Association of Secondary School Principals contest. Winners receive a trip to Washington, D.C., to attend a national leadership workshop.
